For the past few years, the
Rachel cut has been the top hairstyle at salons. Forget Jennifer
Aniston's Rachel style, the latest much requested Rachel is the style
worn by S Club 7's Rachel Stevens.
The 22-year-old star's
hairstyle is simple yet glamorous and so is her stunning make-up
style. And the greast thing about simple styles if that they are easy
to copy. Here's how to do it.
Dab on Barbara Daly concealer
if and where needed, as Rachel's skin always appears flawless,
followed by applying Colouring's Prebase to even out
complexion.
Next, use a warm tinted
foundation such as Virgin Vie One Step Face Base. Apply with a latex
sponge and remember to blend over jawline and neck. Stroke a hot
blusher over apples of cheeks for a healthy bloom. Try Estee Lauder
Minute Blush in Minute Russet.
Shape and define brows into
perfectly formed arches using MAC Browset. It is a clear glossy gel,
so it will leave a hint of a shine.
Contour the eyes by first
applying a highlighting eyeshadow such as Origin's Blondie over the
whole of the moving part of the eyelid and blend out towards the
eyebrow.
The next step is to apply
Virgin Vie Far From Basics Eyeshadow at the outer corners of the eyes
and blend gently in towards the inner eyes. Keep the colour stronger
at the outer edges.
Now, with the same shade, draw
a fine line below lower lashes. Curl lashes as this helps open up the
eye then sweep on two coats of MAC Black Mascara to both upper and
lower lashes.
Lipstick should be a vibrant
red, such as Karen Millen Lip Colour in bright red. This shade will
show off white teeth. Plenty of Clinique High Gloss LipShine finishes
this look.
To get your hair as poker
straight and shiney as Rachel's, you should begin by blowdrying it
using a heat protective product, such as Paul Mitchell Seal and
Shine.
Next, smooth your hair with
straighteners starting from the underneath layers and taking small
sections. Finally, for that touch of added shine, you should finish
off with spritz of Paul Mitchell Gloss Drops.
